Chicken Alabam - Amber

8 pieces chicken
1/3 cup flour
1/2 t. paprika
1/2 t. salt
dash pepper
dash thyme

1/4 cup chopped onion
1 C. chicken broth
1/2 cup light cream
1/4 t. lemon juice

Mix Dry ingredients together. Dredge chicken in flour mixture. Brown chicken frying pan with a little oil. When chicken is browned remove from pan and put in a casserole dish. Saute onion in pan. Add remaining flour to onion and mix. Slowly add broth and stir until it thickens. Add cream and cook until thickened. Add lemon juice. Pour mixture over chicken and bake uncovered at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
*This tastes very similar to chicken cooked with lipton onion soup mix. You can use the "gravy in the dish to pour over potatoes or rice. Yummy!!
